The Elsie inspired dress.

Hi friends!

Yesterday when I discovered this DIY on Elsie’s Blog I felt the urge to get my crafty groove on and block print a dress myself!

I took a squirrel cookie cutter and used it to create a pattern from craft foam. Works well 🙂

I think it is a very fun way to restyle old dresses. This one isn’t really „old“ but I have never worn it before… I think this might change now that it looks so special!

What do you think?

Oh, and last night I was sewing a blouse for 3 hours just to rip it apart afterwards because it did in NO WAY turn out as cute as I wanted to. Bleh! All the work for nothing. Did you ever experience things like this?

Love yous,

  4. I’m not sewing, but stuff like that happens to me all the time :)! I think it’s normal. At least i hope so :)!
And I like your dress. You should wear it more often now…

  5. katja, it looks wonderful! did you leave a link in the comments section, so elsie can see what you made? i haven’t been crafting, but i’ve been doing a lot of art journaling.

  6. It is cute! I’m going to try it as well!
And yes, I did experience something like that before. When I knitted a sweater, in the end, it was too big. I had so many troubles making it, that I didn’t want to start all over again. So now it’s just laying in my closet…

  7. love it! ❤

and as for the sewing thing, i've had school projects turn out that way and have to start over, but otherwise, no, since i haven't really gotten into any serious craftings!
