Recipe: Virgin Mojitos

If there’s one thing I like about summer time – besides the obvious like sun and swimming and wearing dresses – it is Cocktails. I am not much of a drinker so I usually prefer the  alcohol-free type of Cocktail. And my favorite?! The Virgin Mojito!

Since I like it so much I thought you might like it as well. Here’s what you’ll need:

Ginger Ale
1 Lemon
Brown Sugar (1 – 2 tablespoons)
Mintleaves
Crushed ice

You will also need a cocktail glass. I used glasses I bought at IKEA. They work great! You will also – very important! – need a muddler so you can muddle the lime.

First, you want to cut the lemon into quarters. Out them into your glass and use the muddler to muddle them so the juice squeezes out. That’s my favorite part, by the way. 🙂 Now, chop some mint leaves and add them to the limes. I don’t have a specific number for your mint. Just take as much as you want to! I like my Mojitos very minty so I take looooots of mint leaves.
Cover the lime quarters and mint leaves with some brown sugar. Add Crushed ice. A lot! And now you finish your Mojito with the Ginger Ale. Add it to your mixture until your glass is filled. Of course you have to add a straw so you can drink this cocktail the cool way ❤

Hope you are enjoying your Virgin Mojito! I like to drink it on hot summer nights, during a BBQ or when friends come over.

I think I’ll share some more Cocktail recipes soon….

Loves,

Katja

  1. I just discovered your blog recently. I must say, it has a unique style that I like a lot. I’m a big fan of the „real“ mojitos. I might try out your virgin recipe. It does sound really nice.
